KEY WEST, July 22th, 2020, Key West Food Tours announces the launch of The Historic Seaport Tour as a redesign and replacement of its 2017 released Seafood Lover’s Tour.

The core route, stops, and history of the Historic Seaport Tour still mirrors the original Seafood Lover’s. Key West Food Tours takes guests on a path along the docks of the city to visit seaside gems in Old Town in search of truly authentic local eats. Discover the depth of Key West’s Cuban & Caribbean heritage and explore the sights, sounds, and intoxicating flavors of the island through its charming Historic Seaport. Sample 5 local specialties as you follow your passionate guide from one beloved eatery to the next.

Now, instead of just catering to “seafood lovers” as the tour’s original name suggested, meat eaters can join as well with tasty beef and pork substitutions in lieu of the tour’s default fish and shellfish options. Substitutions include the famous Korean beef bulgogi taco from Garbo’s Grill, an authentic cuban sandwich made with ham and roast pork, and Bagatelle’s decadent mac and cheese sans the lobster.

“This tour gives more visitors a chance to eat and explore Key West like a local, and for locals to see their island in a new light. Our goal is to preserve recipes & stories from our past that are harder to find today, and to showcase Key West regional seafood & specialties like Key West pink shrimp, spiny lobster, and as always, key lime pie!” said Analise Smith, Founder and Director of Key West Food Tours.

On this three-hour guided walking tour, explore the historic seaport and listen to fascinating commentary about the city’s architecture, vibrant culture, and storied past. Meet and interact with shop owners, chefs, and restaurateurs as you get a feel for the day-to-day food scene in this lively city, and leave your tour with a full stomach and plenty of suggestions for continuing your flavor-fueled exploration of Key West. To sum it up; experience life like a true “Conch.”

The Historic Seaport Tour operates most days departing at 11am.  Tickets are $75 for Adult Foodies (aged 13 and above), $49 for Young Foodies (age 12 and under) and can be purchased online at www.keywestfoodtours.com.
