Announcing “The Key West Old Town Culture Walk & Lunch” Launch

PRESS RELEASE

Key West Food Tours Offers NEW 1.5-Hour Historic Tour & Lunch!

KEY WEST, July 20th, 2020, Key West Food Tours announces the launch of their Key West Old Town Culture Walk & Lunch. On its fifth and newest excursion, Key West Food Tours dives vacationers into historic Key West by touring and teaching them about  island points of interest through a cultural walking tour complete with a traditional Caribbean lunch. Knowledgeable local guides will entertain guests with intriguing stories of the past bringing to life local landmarks such as: the Key West Cemetery, Basilica of St Mary’s, Gatoville, the Gato Cigar Factory, and more!

Though this tour is sure to excite purchasers with its lower price point, it doesn’t skimp on incredible value. In addition to a backstage pass to some of Key West’s lesser known hidden gems, guests will get to cool off in the middle of the route and enjoy a seated, indoor 2-course lunch!  In true Key West Food Tours’ fashion, a fun Caribbean mix of zesty conch chowder and succulent cuban roast pork with all the fixings is included. Patrons can expect to finish their meal sipping an energizing shot of cuban coffee before heading back out on their journey which finishes on Duval St. to conveniently continue sightseeing at the tour’s end.

Learn the hysterical and heart-breaking history behind The Key West Cemetery and which local celebrities still reside. Walk through a spiritual Key West landmark and uncover a special place of devotion believed to keep the island safe through every hurricane and crisis.  Go back in time to one of the country’s first industrial neighborhoods and learn about the “perfect storm” that created our cigar industry and put Key West on the map.

“This tour gives visitors on a budget and those with brief precious time here a chance to eat and explore Key West like a local, and for locals to see their island in a new light. Our goal is to preserve stories & landmarks from our past that you might not typically see or hear about, and to showcase Key West culture, color, and love of good food!” says Analise Smith, Founder and Director of Key West Food Tours.

On this one & a half-hour guided walking tour, listen to brief yet fascinating commentary about the city’s architecture, vibrant culture, and sometimes scandalous past. Meet and interact with other travelers and locals as you get a feel for the “one human family” vibe in this colorful city, and leave your tour with great fun facts and plenty of suggestions for continuing your flavor-fueled exploration of Key West. To sum it up; experience life like a true “Conch.”

The Key West Old Town Culture Walk & Lunch operates on most days Sunday thru Saturday departing at 10:30am.  Tickets are $49 for Adult (aged 13 and above), $32 for Children (aged 12 and below) and Free for Infants (4 and under) not eating.  Purchase online at www.keywestfoodtours.com.
